Erica Weiner’s vintage-inspired jewelry.
October 14th, 2010 · 1 Comment
Erica Weiner is a New-York based jewelry maker with a discerning eye for antique design with just a touch of modern flare. Something about her work is so graceful that she is able to make even oversized insects look angelic while hanging from a chain around your neck.

I was perusing Etsy earlier when I came across Yasha Butler’s site. This Brooklyn based jeweler makes such delicate and unique pieces, I’d almost be afraid to wear them. Makes me think that if Andy Goldsworthy ever chose to quit the field and make jewelry, it would look like this.

Deer, bicycles, tea cups, and miniature babies are just a few of the objects that industrial designer Natalia Criado turns to when designing her line of jewlery, Little Lucia. Bizarre? Maybe. Crushable? Absolutley!

Gold V Necklace, $64 Onyx Cluster Necklace, $52 Stacked Rectangle Necklace, $70 I love to ask for jewelry for my birthday, which happens to be two days away! And I would gladly wear any one of Laura Lombardi‘s fabulous geometric necklaces crafted from vintage bronze and onyx beads, but I’m particularly smitten with the Stacked [...]

textile necklaces.

Today I was surfing around Etsy and got lost in a maze of fabric jewelery. Textile jewelry is tricky. If it’s not done right it can look really “crafty” or like you’ve got a big ole’ Vera Bradley bag around your neck, and I for one am not really into those huge bib-looking necklaces that [...]

Shop Ecostasy on Earth Day!

It being Earth Day and all, it’s the perfect time to highlight an eco-concious high-end online shop that I’ve had on my radar for some time. Ecostasy heralds itself as being “one of the greenest accessories and home décor collections currently offered in the United States.” And its gorgeous merchandise certainly backs up the claim! [...]

You probably wouldn’t expect to find Boston’s newest sartorial hot-spot located in the city’s most bucolic neighborhood. But it’s this exact contradiction that makes Uncle Pete’s Shop poised to revive the city’s fashion sense — currently inundated with North Face fleece jackets, Vineyard Vines whale prints, and badly dyed designer jeans – with its discriminating downtown style. [...]

brokenfab by Fabienne Morel.

Call it what you will — techno tribal, Navajo nouveau, etc., the trendy concept is a mix of fluorescent colors, geometric shapes, and funky patterns, and it’s popping up everywhere from contemporary art to jewelry. Case in point? London- and Zurich-based brokenfab, which produces hand-beaded jewelry pieces and textiles in the Navajo nouveau vein. Fabienne Morel [...]
