make it through monday: no. 4.

October 25th, 2010 · No Comments

Mondays are the toughest day of the week. The weekend’s behind you, and five grueling days of work lie ahead. So, each Monday, we’re showcasing something that we’ve made, with the hope that it inspires you . . . I love creating mini environments throughout our house. Below, is my favorite one, made up of little toys, inherited knickknacks, gifts from friends, and trinkets we picked up while traveling. They used to be dotted all over the house, but then, in a moment of genius, I thought to put them altogether in one place. Below the shelf is a clock Ryan gave me for my birthday this year —  only the hour hand works, we haven’t gotten around to getting it fixed — and a series of magnetic vases that my best friend gave us when we got married. Coincidentally, they look perfect together. Positioned against the wall that faces our front door, this little setting is the first thing I see when I come home, and it always puts a smile on my face.
