art that moves…no, really.

Don’t feel bad if it takes you a minute to wrap your head around this one.  Alexa Meade is an installation artist and if you ask me, somewhat of an illusionist.  Meade has found a way to transform her three-dimensional canvas into what, at first glance, appears to be a two-dimensional painting.  She applies acrylic paint directly to her subjects and often to the surrounding space, building representational portraits directly on top of the people she is representing.  So while many painters attempt to create a piece that really jumps out and grabs your attention, there is a chance that Meade’s paintings actually will!
