TING belt rug.

I’m always impressed with designers who transfrom cast-aside objects. And, depending on what it is that’s being reconstituted, its new found design can really add an element of surprise to your decor. Take for instance, this rug. At first glance, it seems to be made of wooden panels . . . but a closer look reveals its true nature — vintage leather belts!

Designed by Inghua Ting, this vintage leather belt rug is made to order and measures 27.5″ in diameter. The belts are mounted to a piece of reconstituted leather and then attached using water-based glue. The result is a stylish area rug that would look perfect in a minimally decorated sitting area, accompanied by a few Wassily chairs.
