A lot of artists try to transform Lego pieces into chic, wearable jewelry. Unfortunately, more often than not, their attempts are sub par and look more “arts and crafts” than high fashion accessory. Reware by Emiko Oye does not fall into that category. Her seamlessly refashioned Lego jewelry almost masks the object’s former life as a child’s toy. Be it a necklace, bracelet, or earrings, each piece catches my eye (oh the colors!) and makes me want to see more more more! After looking at her collection, I really do begin to forget she uses Legos!

But wait, if you’re into these everyday wearables, you MUST check out Emiko’s “Art” collection, filled with pieces inspired by real crown jewels! Here’s a teaser . . .

Just found this post and love the photos! I enjoy refashioning old costume jewelry into new pieces, but I am now thinking about the treasure-trove of Legos sitting in the basement!! Her work is beautiful.

I know! It’s sooo great! Go to it! Might as well reuse those blocks.
