Amazing. The memories of lip-syncing my heart out in the back of my parent’s car while they dragged me around looking for dining room furniture sets come flooding back when I hear this song . . . was anyone else obsessed with Sophie B. Hawkins in the ’90s? When I saw that Black Kids have a cover of her hit tune, “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover,” I knew I had to share it with you! So, two for the price of one — Black Kids cover and Sophie B.’s original . . . Damn is right.

Haha! Too funny! I agree, although I enjoy the Black Kids, they’re not nearly as pleasing as Sophie is.
