Sao Paulo, Brazil’s graffiti writers, known as ”Pichadores,” have completely redefined their city’s aesthetic, the letter form, and perhaps even what it means to be a graffiti writer.
The new letter form, known as Pixacao, now completely covers the city of Sao Paulo. Writers in the city go to any length necessary to get their names up, no matter how dangerous. The most remarkable aspect of this graffiti movement is that it’s the only international graffiti culture that is not directly influenced by New York styles. For that, respect is certainly due.
